HNHS is coached by three coaches with many years of experience. 

Rick Lucan                   

 Program Director/Head Coach

     Education:     Southern Connecticut State University

BS  PhysicalEducation,Health,Math

     Occupation:   Teacher - New Haven School system
                             Professional Swim Coach (YMCA/USS and High School)
                             36 years experience - 26 years with HNHS  

Gary Cavaliere

 Senior/National  Coach

    Education:     Southern Connecticut State University

MS (Physical Education)  
    Occupation:    Teacher - Hamden School system  
                         Professional Swim Coach (YMCA/USS) - Level 4 ASCA certified
                             1996 Connecticut Senior Coach of the Year
                             28 years experience - 20 years with HNHS

 

Joe Brophy

Assistant Senior Coach

    Occupation:      Lawyer

 Former head coach for the Fairfield YMCA Swim Program.           Over thirty years experience in age group swim coaching
